The correct way to layer skin-care products
While not all cleanse in the morning, we think it is vital for glowing and happy skin. Cleansing in the morning makes us and our skin feel refreshed for the new day ahead. Water-based cleansers are great at getting rid of the sweat that can accumulate on our face overnight.
Two: Eye mask
We recommend using an eye mask 2-3 times per week for that undereye glow. They help to improve dryness, fine lines, dark circles and puffiness. Our 24K Gold eye masks are perfect for this job and while we may be a tiny bit bias (okay totally bias because our eye masks are incredible *winky face*) they work because of all the carefully selected key ingredients, (to find out more head over to this blog)
Three: Face mask
Once again, we recommend using a face mask 2-3 times per week. They are great for targeting specific concerns. This can be anti-aging, brightening, moisturising, and so much more.
Four: Toner
There are so many great benefits to a toner! It minimises the appearance of pores, helps prevent breakouts, removes traces of dirt left from your cleanser, hydrates, brightens, and that’s not even the whole list!
Five: Antioxidant serum
People as young as 20 should have an antioxidant serum somewhere in their routine. It is anti-inflammation, skin firming, reduces the appearance of wrinkles and can help treat scars and repair sun damage.
Six: Eye cream
While a moisturiser for everywhere on your face is good, adding an eye cream is even better. It helps keep under the eye extra moisturised, reduces the appearance of fine lines and prevents dullness.
Seven: Moisturiser
I don’t think we need to tell you why moisturiser is so essential, but just in case you’re brand new to the beauty game we’ll let you know it prevents dryness, reduces the appearance of blemishes and helps you to achieve a youthful appearance.
Eight: Sunscreen
The best form of skin protection is prevention! Sunscreen is the most crucial step in your skin-care routine. The sun damages your skin so easily but can be prevented by wearing sunscreen on the daily. Wearing sunscreen is also only necessary in your morning skin-care routine!
We hope this blog post helps clear up the confusion of a multi-step skin care routine. If it’s too overwhelming, to begin with, we recommend a good cleanser, face masks to pamper yourself with, moisturiser and of course sunscreen. Good luck glow-getters!
